The Active School Flag is a Department of Education and Skills initiative which recognises schools that strive to achieve a physically educated and physically active school community, by awarding them with an Active School Flag (ASF). Rathregan National School are striving to achieve a physically educated and physically active school community.

The Amber School Flag, in association with Pieta House, promotes positive mental health.

The Green School Flag is an iniative that focuses on the environmental concerns of the school.
